I had Tanya Woodruff's 2 little guys over to play for the day, and I realized as I tended all 5 kids, that it's really not much harder than having 3. It makes me think the random Walmart stranger I spoke with a few weeks ago was right when he said, "I have 6 kids and it never gets worse than 3." Seems about right. It took me a couple months to adjust to the changes we've had to make to enjoy our life as a bigger family, but I can say I enjoy life now more than I ever have before. So, here's to #4!! (Well, someday).

May I elborate on the "it never gets worse than 3" thinking. I've heard that before, but now that I'm older I can look back and see what people are talking about. When children are very little they wear you out physically because of all the energy involved in tending to them, meaning - lack of sleep, etc. And you usually don't have more than three of those wee ones around at once even though there is the rare instance of more. The older they get the more worn you are emotionally. Children become more independent which is what you want, but then you worry about their choices and their interaction out in the world away from home; always hoping and praying that things will go well for them. Just the general trials of everyday living, it seems like their is always a big bump in the road, but there is lots of joy on the ride too. It's always a mama drama no matter what the mix.
Love you Stephanie, you're a great MOM!
Ditto on You're a Great Mom!!! I couldn't believe my clingy Alexander wanted to go to you instead of me when I picked him up! That was so amazingly kind and generous and too-good-for-your-own-good of you. Moving day was virtually stress free and I have you to thank! Again and again:)
