The Big Apple

I'm off to New York tomorrow -Whoop, whoop!

I'm super excited. Loving show tunes and 'Sleepless in Seattle' like I do, I've wanted to go forever, and have planned many untaken trips since then. Most were planned with Nina by my side, in wee hours of the night. One of those nights was just before finals. We decided we were going to fail our classes anyways and should skip out to New York to make ourselves feel better. At least I think that's how it went, Me, Nins and Mark Harris. What were we thinking? That's what we thought about 5 in the morning when we realized we had stayed up all night, and had our finals in a few hours.

I'm a little sad to be going to the Big Apple for the first time without my better half, but we'll still go one day, we won't count this time. I wish I had a digital picture of us from college to post along with this fun memory, but here's one from her wedding 08'.

Yo Stephanito,
I returned your call a couple of days ago but your cell phone was full and I got your home phone answering machine and did leave a message but I knew that message might have been in vain. If you're going to NY tomorrow, for one that's freaking awesome, but two it must mean you're home! So I will try you again in the morning and if not, bon voyage! I figured a message on your blog might be the best way to get ahold of you. ;)

I remember those college days all too well! Life seemed so hard then, little did we know it would only get harder with kids:) Have fun on your trip!

I didn't know you went to New York! I feel like I haven't seen you forever - anyway, I'm going there with my sisters in March, so I really want to hear about your trip. Here's a crazy idea - how about you coming for a visit sometime? Call me when you're free:)
